The Sydney Money Expo unveiled a rare opportunity for everyone to see Australia’s most valuable currency. In 1913 the Australian dollar used to be called a shilling, which was based on the old British sterling system.
Now that same ten shilling one hundred year old banknote is valued at one million dollars.
“The note’s owner believes the public deserve a chance to see it. As it’s the Commonwealth of Australia’s first ever banknote, the item is unique. It can never be replaced,” according to TEN news.
