Love is definitely in the air, as we get closer to Valentine’s Day. A recent study from Expedia performed by GfK reveals travelers seem to feel most romantic when they’re on the road.
Americans rated Paris as the world’s most romantic city. And the vast majority consider Los Angeles to have the most attractive dating population.
Overall 32 percent felt beach travel is the most romantic, followed by 27 percent who preferred international and exotic destinations. Another 22 percent preferred the countryside, while 4 percent selected cities. These are the top ten most romantic cities around the world, according to Americans.
Expedia's head of communications, Sarah Gavin stated, "Travel can also be a good barometer of a couple's compatibility, it's well known by now that experiences make people happier than things, so this Valentine's Day, rather than making a reservation at a restaurant nearby, consider a reservation on the other side of the world."
For travelers currently looking to plan their next romantic vacation, Expedia.com is currently offering 30% off more than 1,500 hotels worldwide for travelers booking anytime from February 2 - 29, 2016.
This exclusive offer is part of their newly launched time for vacay sale. In order to receive these exclusive savings on hotels, travel must be completed by May 22, 2016. For more travel tips and deals join our platinum passport today.
