CXI Has Joined the Payment Choice Coalition to Protect Consumers' Ability to Use Cash Payments

Currency Exchange International (CXI) has joined the Payment Choice Coalition to protect consumers' ability to use cash payments.

Protecting Americans’ right to choose how they pay is a critical mission, and it’s not something we can accomplish alone.

We are pleased to become a member of the Payment Choice Coalition. Together, we seek to protect Americans’ ability to pay for goods and services in cash.

Our belief has always been that payments should be safe, easy, and highly accessible,” said CXI President and CEO Randolph Pinna. “Cash remains a convenient and reliable payment option for millions of consumers and travelers every day, and is especially vital when electronic payment options are not working or available. We saw what the Payment Choice Coalition accomplished in its first year and are proud to stand with our industry peers to ensure that consumer choice, privacy, and economic fairness are preserved across the U.S.”

Congress has an opportunity to put Americans first by passing the bipartisan Payment Choice Act. Sponsored by Representatives John Rose (TN-06) and Donald Norcross (NJ-01) in the House of Representatives and Senators John Fetterman (PA) and Kevin Cramer (ND) in the Senate, the act would require brick-and-mortar retailers to accept cash for payments of $500 or less.
